Our Activity Programme
“The quality of a life is determined by its Activities”. – Aristotle
Here at Peponi, our wide-ranging Activity programme, woven into our timetable, ensures our belief in the value of an all-round education is sustained throughout the week.
Academic societies and practical activity clubs allow pupils to open up areas of interest and develop new skills outside the classroom environment. There are daily slots ring-fenced so that pupils’ horizons can be broadened without compromising academic study. Before School, at lunchtimes and after School, all pupils up to Upper Fifth (Year 11) are encouraged to choose at least TWO Activities, and in the VI Form, at least ONE activity must be taken. All Shell (Year 9) pupils complete the President’s Award Bronze level and all Musicians must ensure that at least one of their Activities is music-based.Both pupils and staff combine to run these clubs and societies, further endorsing our working together as a community. Just off campus and under the guidance of our Outdoor Pursuits specialist we have an excellent relationship with Northlands Ranch which means all pupils have a chance to experience a wealth of activities from shooting to cycling; from archery to assault courses. All Activities undertaken contribute points to the Peponi Awards.
Activities take place from 7.45am-8.30am, 1.45pm-2.30pm or 4.15pm-5.30pm. For those wishing to participate in the longer, later slot, we provide a late bus (if required) for day pupils.
