Dress Code
Please note especially the following policies:
Hats
It is a strict rule that school hats must be worn at all times for outdoor activities. Inevitably, these get put on and taken off throughout the school day and do get mislaid quite regularly, so it is very important that they are clearly named so that they
can be quickly returned to their owners.
Jumpers
A blue school jumper, fleece or cardigan can be worn to school. Children should not come to school wearing a nonuniform tracksuit top or sweatshirt with their uniform.
Jewellery
We are sensitive to the wearing of certain items of jewellery for religious/cultural reasons. However, unless it is absolutely necessary, the wearing of jewellery at school should be restricted to that of single ear-studs by girls. Ear-rings, nose studs
and other items that may cause injury (especially on the games field), must not be worn. Nail varnish is not permitted at
school.
Hair
We do not have strict guidelines as to the length and style of children’s hair, but please note that significant ‘fashion statements’ and coloured hair are not permitted. Long hair should be kept tied or clipped back off the face.
All school uniform and equipment should be clearly named
