Today, Peponi School held its annual Remembrance Day service, a poignant occasion that allowed our community to come together and reflect on the sacrifices made by countless individuals in pursuit of freedom and peace. As we gathered, we remembered those who served in wars past and present, as well as the families who endured loss and hardship.
The service was a solemn reminder of the resilience and courage demonstrated by those who answered the call to serve. Through poetry, readings, and the solemn sound of the Last Post, pupils and staff were able to reflect on the values of bravery, sacrifice, and unity that remain timeless. The red poppies worn with pride symbolised our collective gratitude and remembrance, reminding us of our duty to preserve the freedoms that these individuals fought so valiantly to protect.
As we move forward, we are reminded that Remembrance Day is not only a time to look back but also to inspire us to build a world of understanding and peace. We encourage our pupils to embody these values in their everyday lives, fostering compassion, unity, and a commitment to a brighter future.
At Peponi School, we will remember them – today and always.
