The 26th edition of the Hog Charge is scheduled for 25th and 26th January 2025 at Northlands Ranch. This annual mountain bike competition, hosted by Peponi School, is a team event where groups of four riders navigate a course of checkpoints on mountain bikes, aiming to complete it in the shortest time possible. The event features categories for under-12, under-14, and open classes, fostering teamwork and outdoor adventure among participants.
The Hog Charge serves as a fundraising initiative supporting Rhino Ark, a charitable trust dedicated to conserving Kenya’s mountain forest ecosystems, known as the “Water Towers.” Rhino Ark’s efforts focus on developing sustainable solutions to the challenges facing these vital ecosystems and their threatened biodiversity through public-private partnerships. The funds raised contribute to projects such as constructing electric fences to mitigate human-wildlife conflicts and preserving critical habitats.
The deadline for entries is 18th January 2025. For more information on registration and event details, please visit Peponi School’s official website.
Your continued support is instrumental in advancing conservation efforts and ensuring the sustainability of Kenya’s natural heritage.
